Levamisole (Vet)

Levamisole (Vet) is a veterinary medication that treats parasite infestations in animals. Levamisole (Vet)is available in several forms, including crystalline white powder, pastes, gels, pills, feed premixes, and topical/injectable solutions.Levamisole (Vet) is a synthetic anthelmintic that works against a wide variety of gastrointestinal and lung worms. Levamisole (Vet)increases axial muscle tone, which leads to worm paralysis.Levamisole (Vet) HCl inhibits succinate dehydrogenase synthesis, interfering with nematode carbohydrate metabolism. Inhibition of this enzyme produces total and irreversible muscle paralysis of the worm. Levamisole (Vet) has recently gained popularity due to its immune modulating characteristics. This medicine corrects immunologic imbalances by modulating the activity of T lymphocytes and phagocytes, and hence has the most benefit in immunologically depressed animals and birds. Levamisole (Vet) works by disrupting the neuromuscular system of parasitic worms, leading to their paralysis and expulsion from the host animal.

Levamisole HCl prevents the formation of succinate dehydrogenase, which interferes with nematode glucose metabolism. Inhibiting this enzyme causes total and irreversible muscular paralysis in the worm. Levamisole hydrochloride has recently sparked widespread interest due to its immune regulating capabilities. This drug corrects immunologic imbalance by modifying the activity of T lymphocytes and phagocytes, hence it is most effective in immunologically depressed animals.

Take Levamisole (Vet) in the dose and duration as advised by Registered Veterinary Physician.

When administered at therapeutic doses, Elcaris-vet in hens does not have any undesirable side effects. No negative effects are observed on egg production, fertility, or hatchability.Overdose symptoms include colic, coughing, excessive salivation, lachrymation, spasms, sweating, and vomiting.

After giving the animal Levamisole, make sure it has access to enough of drinking water.

The medicine is not recommended for animals who are allergic to its active ingredient.

Avoid concurrent use with other deworming drugs to prevent toxicity.
