আইওপানোয়িক অ্যাসিড প্রাথমিকভাবে মৃগীরোগ (মনোথেরাপি), রেডিওলজিক্যাল কনট্রাস্ট এজেন্ট, ভেস্টিবুলার ডিসঅর্ডারের মতো পরিস্থিতিতে নির্দেশিত হয়। প্রাপ্তবয়স্ক 42.857 mg/kg 43 (42.857) সুপারিশকৃত হিসাবে। প্রয়োজন অনুযায়ী একবার PO Iopanoic অ্যাসিড কার্ডিওভাসকুলার ডিজিজ, মালাবসর্পশনের মতো অবস্থার জন্য নিষেধ। গুরুতর রেনাল (কিডনি) বা হেপাটিক (লিভার) রোগে আক্রান্ত রোগীদের ক্ষেত্রে আইওপানোয়িক অ্যাসিড ব্যবহার এড়িয়ে চলুন। কিডনি প্রতিবন্ধী রোগীদের 3gm এর বেশি ডোজ দেওয়া উচিত নয়। তীব্র গ্যাস্ট্রো-ইনটেস্টাইনাল রোগের উপস্থিতিতে ব্যবহার এড়িয়ে চলুন, কারণ এটি শোষণকে ব্যাহত করতে পারে। আয়োডিনের প্রতি অতিসংবেদনশীলতার ইতিহাস, বা অন্যান্য কনট্রাস্ট মিডিয়া, হাইপারথাইরয়েডিজম, হাইপারুরিকামিয়া সহ রোগীদের সতর্কতার সাথে এটি ব্যবহার করা উচিত মাথা ঘোরা, মাথাব্যথা, ডায়রিয়া, ফুসকুড়ি, ছত্রাক, প্রুরিটাস, ডিসুরিয়া, ক্র্যাম্প, বমি বমি ভাব এবং বমি, হার্ট বার্ন, গলা ব্যথা।
Indications
Iopanoic Acid is primarily indicated in conditions like Epilepsy (monotherapy), Radiological contrast agent, Vestibular disorders.
Dosage
Adult Dose: Adult 42.857 mg/kg 43 (42.857) As recommended. PO Once as required
Side effects
Dizziness, Headache, Diarrhea, Rashes, Urticaria, Pruritus, Dysuria, Cramps, Nausea and vomiting, Heart burn, Sore throat.
Precautions & warnings
Avoid use of iopanoic acid in patients with severe renal (kidney) or hepatic (liver) disease. Dose higher than 3gm should not be given to patients with renal impairment. Avoid use in presence of acute gastro-intestinal disease, as it may impair the absorption. It should be used with caution in patients with history of hypersensitivity to iodine, or other contrast media, hyperthyroidism, hyperuricaemia
Contraindications
Iopanoic Acid is contraindicated in conditions like Cardiovascular disease, Malabsorption.
