Description

This cream is a combination of 4 ingredients which provide a highly protective sunscreen action. It protects against UV rays that cause skin cancer, wrinkles, and darkening.

Indications

Protection from harmful UV rays, managing photodermatoses, skin pigmentation, solar urticaria, acute solar dermatitis, drug-induced photosensitivity, acute lupus erythematosus, polymorphic light eruption.

Pharmacology

Zinc Oxide acts as a screen reflecting & scattering UV radiation. Avobenzone, Octinoxate, and Enzacamene absorb UV radiation and convert it to heat.

Mechanism of action

Combines physical reflection (Zinc Oxide) and chemical absorption (Avobenzone, Octinoxate, Enzacamene) to shield skin from UVA and UVB radiation.

Dosage

Apply on exposed areas at least 30 minutes before sun exposure. Repeat application every 2 hours after continuous exposure, swimming, or exercising.

Administration

Take an adequate amount, apply a thin layer on exposed areas, and gently massage onto skin.

Missed dose

Apply as soon as remembered before going into sunlight.

Side effects

Signs of irritation (erythema, burning, or rash) may appear on sensitive or broken skin.

Precautions & warnings

For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes and broken skin.

Contraindications

Contraindicated in patients with a history of sensitivity to any component.

Drug interactions

Not known whether it interacts with other topically applied drug products.
