Description
ওকুলার ইনফেকশন, আরাল ইনফেকশন প্রাপ্তবয়স্ক এবং শিশু: চোখের মলম হিসাবে: তীব্র সংক্রমণে 2 ঘন্টা প্রয়োগ করুন। কানের মলম: বাহ্যিক শ্রাবণ মাংসে অল্প পরিমাণে মলম দিনে 2-4 বার। অতি সংবেদনশীলতা। অক্সিটেট্রাসাইক্লিন বিপরীতভাবে 30S এবং সম্ভবত 50S রাইবোসোমাল সাবুনিটের সাথে আবদ্ধ হয়, এইভাবে ব্যাকটেরিয়া প্রোটিন সংশ্লেষণকে বাধা দেয় এবং কোষের বৃদ্ধিকে আটকায়। এটি গ্রাম-পজিটিভ এবং গ্রাম-নেতিবাচক জীবের বিস্তৃত পরিসরের বিরুদ্ধে সক্রিয়। পলিমিক্সিন বি: ব্যাকটেরিয়াঘটিত; ব্যাকটেরিয়া ঝিল্লি ফুটো ঘটায়। দীর্ঘায়িত ব্যবহার এড়িয়ে চলুন। ছিদ্রযুক্ত কানের ড্রাম। স্থানীয় জ্বালা। অকুলার বা ওটো বিষাক্ততা। অ্যান্টাসিড, আয়রন, অ্যালুমিনিয়াম, ক্যালসিয়াম, ম্যাগনেসিয়াম, জিঙ্ক লবণ শোষণ কম করে। একযোগে ব্যবহার লিথিয়াম, ডিগক্সিন, হ্যালোফ্যান্ট্রিন এবং থিওফাইলাইনের মাত্রা বৃদ্ধির কারণ হতে পারে; অ্যাটোভাকোনের ঘনত্ব হ্রাস। ergot alkaloids সঙ্গে ergotism ঝুঁকি বৃদ্ধি. মৌখিক গর্ভনিরোধক ব্যর্থতার কারণ হতে পারে। সম্ভাব্য মারাত্মক: অ্যান্টিকোয়াগুল্যান্ট নিয়ন্ত্রণে হস্তক্ষেপ করে। মূত্রবর্ধক, মেথোক্সিফ্লুরেন বা অন্যান্য নেফ্রোটক্সিক ওষুধ দ্বারা নেফ্রোটক্সিক প্রভাব বৃদ্ধি পায়; সম্ভাব্য হেপাটোটক্সিক ওষুধের সাথে একযোগে ব্যবহার এড়িয়ে চলুন। রেটিনয়েডের সাথে সৌম্য ইন্ট্রাক্রানিয়াল হাইপারটেনশনের প্রকোপ বৃদ্ধি পায়।

Mechanism of action
Oxytetracycline binds reversibly to the 30S and possibly 50S ribosomal subunits, thus inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis and arresting cell growth. It is active against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative organisms. Polymyxin B: Bactericidal; causes leakage of bacterial membrane.
Dosage
Adult Dose: Adult & Child: As Eye ointment: Apply 2 hourly in acute infection. Ear ointment: Small amount of ointment in the external auditory meatus 2-4 times daily.
Side effects
Local irritation. Occular or Oto toxicity.
Precautions & warnings
Avoid prolonged use. Perforated ear drum.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity.
Drug interactions
Antacids, iron, aluminum, calcium, magnesium, zinc salts reduce absorption. Concurrent use may cause increased levels of lithium, digoxin, halofantrine and theophylline; decreased concentrations of atovaquone. Increased risk of ergotism with ergot alkaloids. May cause failure of oral contraception. Potentially Fatal: Interferes with anticoagulant control. Nephrotoxic effects exacerbated by diuretics, methoxyflurane or other nephrotoxic drugs; avoid concurrent use with potentially hepatotoxic drugs. Increased incidence of benign intracranial hypertension with retinoids.
