Dr. Md. Abdul Karim (Mithu)

Dr. Md. Abdul Karim (Mithu) is an MBBS, BCS (Health), DLO, FCPS (ENT), and FACS-qualified Head and Neck Cancer surgeon with more than 18 years of experience in ENT, thyroid, and head-neck surgery. He completed advanced clinical fellowship training in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, India, and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), Dhaka. He currently serves as Senior Consultant, Department of Thyroid and Head-Neck Oncosurgery, and is an Assistant Professor in the Department of ENT Oncology at the National Institute of Cancer Research and Hospital. His areas of expertise include thyroid cancer, oral cavity cancer, tongue cancer, tonsil cancer, jaw cancer, laryngeal cancer, pharyngeal cancer, salivary gland cancer, sinonasal cancer, paragangliomas, parathyroid adenoma, and other parathyroid diseases. He has extensive experience in voice box cancer surgery and voice prosthesis procedures and follows current international guidelines for thyroid cancer management. Dr. Md. Abdul Karim has presented research at national and international conferences and has authored numerous scientific publications in the field of Head and Neck Surgery.
