About Doctor

Dr. Md. Mizanur Rahman is a Visiting Senior Consultant in Molecular Lab at Evercare Hospital Chattogram. He graduated from Sir Salimullah Medical College, Dhaka in 1993 and earned his PhD in Immunology from Tohoku University, Sendai, Japan in 2000 under a Japanese Government (Monbusho) Scholarship. He served as Assistant Professor at Tohoku University Hospital and later at Yamagata University, Japan, where he demonstrated the existence of an isoform of interleukin-21 through cloning. He introduced real-time PCR technology in diagnostics in Bangladesh in 2002 while serving as Consultant Immunologist at Labaid Diagnostics, establishing a PCR and Genetic lab. He also served as Assistant Professor and Coordinator of the School of Health Sciences at State University of Bangladesh. He has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed international journals.
