Obtained the MBBS degree from Sir Salimullah Medical College and Hospital in January 1982 under the Medical faculty of Dhaka University. ln 1994, he obtained Diploma in Clinical Microbiology from London Hospital Medical College under London University. During his tenure at London Hospital Medical College, he received advanced training in the field of Microbiology. He was the pioneer in introducing the FAN method of Blood Culture in Bangladesh. ln addition, he has expertise in recovering unusual pathogens such as Nocardia, Actinomyces, Non Tubercular Mycobacterium (NTM). He has conducted lots of seminars as Keynote speaker. He has also worked for over 25 years and retired as Professor and Head of Microbiology at Dhaka National Medical College. Currently he is working as Consultant at Delta Hospital Ltd. and lbn Sina Diagnostic Centre.
