Lt Col (Dr) Syeda Asmema Shashi

Lt Col (Dr) Syeda Asmema Shashi is a highly experienced plastic surgeon with over 14 years of experience. After earning her MBBS, she pursued an FCPS in Surgery from the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons, followed by a Master's in Plastic Surgery from Dhaka Medical College. She further honed her skills with a fellowship in Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery at Singapore General Hospital (PGMI). Currently a Classified Specialist in Plastic Surgery at CMH Chattogram, Dr. Shashi has had the privilege of working alongside many distinguished plastic surgeons both in Bangladesh and internationally. As a female plastic surgeon in Bangladesh, a significant portion of her practice focuses on breast surgery. She has dedicated herself to exploring all facets of this field, including oncological, reconstructive, and aesthetic procedures. Her passion for breast surgery has allowed her to develop considerable expertise and establish herself as a promising surgeon in this area. Dr. Shashi also has a strong interest in body contouring procedures such as liposuction, abdominoplasty, and brachiplasty, which form a substantial part of her surgical caseload. Her other areas of expertise include burns, trauma, skin and soft tissue malignancies and infections, diabetic foot, and congenital anomalies, with a particular focus on reconstructive procedures.
