Major General Professor Dr. Md. Shameem Haidar is a medical graduate from Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College. He has a distinguished record of more than 30 years of service in the Bangladesh Armed Forces, which has included several dignified roles at CMH Bogura, Jashore, Chattogram & Dhaka. He has also served at the United Nations Peacekeeping Forces Hospital in the Central African Republic.
Dr. Haidar spent a number of years as the Assistant Personal Physician to the Honourable President at Bangabhaban. He also boasts extensive experience as a trainer, guiding students at both post-graduate and undergraduate levels at the Department of Rheumatology at Combined Military Hospital, Dhaka.
