Prof. (Brig. Gen.) Dr. Masroor Hasan

Professor (Brigadier General) Dr. Masroor Hasan completed his MBBS from Sir Salimullah Medical College, Dhaka in 1992. He then completed his FCPS in Surgery in 2002, Masters in Plastic Surgery in 2010 and MRCS in 2014. He worked for the Bangladesh Army for over 31 years, and as a Plastic Surgeon for the Army since 2010. He also underwent Fellowship training (hands-on) in Plastic Surgery from Singapore General Hospital in 2015. He is a leading surgeon in the country for Oncoplastic Breast Surgery, Breast Reconstruction after Mastectomy, and an expert in Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy and Axillary Clearance, with high levels of experience in the management of difficult Ventral Hernia by Component Separation, TAR, Retro Rectus Mesh Hernioplasty and Abdominoplasty in the same patient. He has carried out 300+ cases of Incisional Hernia Repair with Abdominoplasty. Dr. Hasan has a special interest in Breast Reduction, Augmentation and Mastopexy and in the management of congenital anomalies in breasts like Poland Syndrome, Tuberous Breast as well as Gynecomastia treatment, specially Grade 3. He also performs aesthetic surgeries like Liposuction and Lipofilling, Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck) surgery, Rhinoplasty, Facelift (Deep Plane), Blepharoplasty, and more. He also has wide exposure in fingertip reconstruction, wound coverage, tendon repair and reconstruction, and congenital hand anomalies like Syndactyly, Polydactyly and Camptodactyly. He has also experience in acute burn management and post-burn scar contracture release, difficult wound management and reconstruction by skin grafting or flaps, especially in upper and lower limbs. He has conducted 500+ cases of Cleft Lip and Cleft Palate operations.
