Later, he obtained further training in child and adolescent psychiatry from the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuroscience (NIMHANS), Bangalore, India. He is also a member of the American Psychiatric Association.

During his professional career, He worked in various psychiatric departments of CMH Dhaka, Bogura, Rangpur, and other locations.
