• Prof. Dr. Md. Tawhidul Islam obtained his MBBS degree from Sir Salimullah Medical College Mitford Hospital.
• He subsequently achieved his DO and FCPS in Ophthalmology from Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS).
• Dr. Tawhidul has more than 23-years of experience in management of different eye diseases and surgeries. He has got extensive training on Phacoemulsification at Islamia Eye Hospital, Dhaka; IOL Microsurgery at Islamia Eye Hospital, Dhaka; Short-term Fellowship in Glaucoma at Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India; Additional workshops in India, Australia, Singapore, and Thailand.
• Presently Dr. Tawhidul is working as the Professor and Head, Department of Ophthalmology, Dhaka National Medical College, Dhaka.
• He has 8-publications in various medical journals and attended many conferences and workshops in home and abroad.
• Now, Prof. Dr. Md. Tawhidul Islam is at Asgar Ali Hospital and serving patients regularly as Senior Consultant - Ophthalmology.
