Piper longum (Pippali): Active constituents - Piperine, Piplartine, Piperlonguminine, sesamine volatile oil. Actions - Acts as carminative, digestive, strengthens muscular system, and nervine tonic. Used in anaemia, ascites, hemorrhoids, colic, and splenic disorders.

Mechanism of action

Amalaki Rasayan works as an antacid and carminative, reducing stomach acidity and relieving gas. Gallic acid provides antioxidant properties that protect cells from damage. Pippali improves digestion and enhances nutrient absorption. Vitamin C boosts immunity and helps prevent anaemia by improving iron absorption.

Dosage

Adult: 2-4 teaspoonful (approx. 10-20 ml) 2-3 times daily after meals.

Children: 1-2 teaspoonful (approx. 5-10 ml) 2-3 times daily after meals.
