Description
Beclomethasone Dipropionate + Chloramphenicol + Clotrimazole + Lidocaine is a combination ear drop effective against various ear infections. It helps treat otitis externa (outer ear infection), otitis media (middle ear infection), and otomycosis (fungal ear infection).
Each component works synergistically: Chloramphenicol is an antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis; Clotrimazole is an antifungal that disrupts fungal cell wall formation; Beclomethasone is a steroid that reduces inflammation and swelling; Lidocaine is a local anesthetic that provides rapid pain relief by blocking pain signals.
Usually, 2-3 drops are applied to the affected ear 2-3 times daily for 7-14 days.

Pharmacology
Lidocaine is a local anesthetic that blocks pain signals from nerves to the brain, reducing pain sensation. Beclomethasone is a steroid that blocks the production of inflammatory mediators (prostaglandins) that cause redness, swelling, and itching. Clotrimazole is an antifungal that stops fungal growth by preventing the formation of their protective covering. Chloramphenicol is an antibiotic that stops bacterial growth by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins.
Mechanism of action
This combination works synergistically: Chloramphenicol inhibits bacterial protein synthesis, Clotrimazole disrupts fungal cell walls, Beclomethasone reduces inflammation, and Lidocaine provides local pain relief.
Dosage
Dosage: 2-3 drops in the affected ear 2-3 times daily for 7-14 days.
Otitis externa: From 6 months and older.
Otitis media: From 12 years and older.
Administration
Shake the bottle well before use. After applying the drops, remain lying on your side for a few minutes to allow the drops to penetrate the ear canal. Use as directed by your physician.
Missed dose
If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
