Pharmacology
Carbamide Peroxide Ear Drop contains carbamide peroxide. It releases oxygen and starts to foam when it comes in contact with the skin. The foaming helps break up and remove ear wax.
Mechanism of action
Carbamide Peroxide releases oxygen in the ear canal to create foam, which breaks down and softens ear wax, making it easier to remove.
Dosage
Adults and children over 12 years: Tilt the head sideways and place 5-10 drops in the ear. The dropper tip should not touch the ear canal. Keep drops in the ear for several minutes by keeping the head tilted or placing cotton in the ear. Use twice daily for up to four days if needed, or as directed by a doctor.
Children under 12 years: Consult a doctor.
Administration
For ear use only. Shake the bottle well before use. Tilt the head and place drops in the ear. Do not touch the dropper tip to the ear canal (to avoid contamination). Keep the head tilted for several minutes or place cotton in the ear. Use twice daily as needed.
Missed dose
If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as you remember. Skip the missed dose if it is almost time for your next application. Do not double the dose.

- Foaming or crackling sound in the ear
- Temporary decrease in hearing after using the drops
- Mild feeling of fullness in the ear
- Mild itching inside the ear
- Rare: Dizziness, new or worsening ear problem
Precautions & warnings
- Avoid contact with eyes and mouth (rinse thoroughly with water if contact occurs).
- Do not use if you have ear drainage, ear pain, irritation or rash in the ear, or feel dizzy.
- Do not use if you have an injury or perforation (hole) of the eardrum or after ear surgery.
- If excessive ear wax remains after 4 consecutive days, stop use and consult a doctor.
- Do not use if allergic to carbamide peroxide.
