Cepalin + Allantoin is an emollient and combined preparation used for the relief of dry skin associated with contact dermatitis, senile pruritus, atopic dermatitis, ichthyosis and related dry skin conditions. It softens and hydrates skin. It is also a mild cleanser for dry, sensitive skin. It helps reduce dryness and leaves the skin feeling soft and smooth. Scar creams typically have properties that reduce tension on the scar by: providing moisture to soften the upper layer of the skin, providing a protective barrier to retain moisture, helping cells to regenerate and remodel the connective tissue below the scar.

Pharmacology
Scar creams typically have properties that reduce tension on the scar by: providing moisture to soften the upper layer of the skin, providing a protective barrier to retain moisture, helping cells to regenerate and remodel the connective tissue below the scar. Some treatments additionally protect against photodamage to the sensitive skin on the scar.
Mechanism of action
Cepalin + Allantoin moisturizes and softens the upper layer of skin, provides a protective barrier to retain moisture, and helps cells regenerate and remodel connective tissue, improving dry skin and scars.
Dosage
Apply evenly and gently rub into the scar 3 times daily for 8 weeks on new scars, and 3 times daily for 3-6 months on existing scars. Apply to the scar before sun exposure. Children under 6 months: ask a doctor.
Administration
For external use only. Apply evenly to the scar and gently massage. Avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, rinse with water.
Missed dose
If you miss an application, apply it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next application, skip the missed dose.
Side effects
Skin irritation in people hypersensitive to any of the ingredients.
