Cinchocaine + Hydrocortisone + Framycetin + Esculin

Cinchocaine + Hydrocortisone + Framycetin + Esculin is a compound steroidal ointment and suppository used in the ano-rectal region. Cinchocaine Hydrochloride is a local anaesthetic that prevents or relieves severe pain in strangulated haemorrhoids, fissures and perianal haematomata. Hydrocortisone acts as a decongestant, anti-inflammatory and anti-pruritic agent, eliminating itching, inflammation and mucous discharge. Framycetin Sulphate is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that eradicates infections in the anorectal area, and Esculin has a skin protective action.

Ointment: Apply a small quantity with the finger on the painful or pruritic area, morning and evening and after each stool. For deep application, insert the cannula or applicator to full extent and squeeze tube gently from lower end whilst withdrawing.

Suppository: Insert a suppository morning and evening, and after each stool.

For external use only. Apply a small amount of ointment with the finger. Insert the suppository into the anus. Wash hands thoroughly after application.

If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next application, skip the missed dose.

Long-term use side effects:

• Atrophic changes in the skin (thinning, loss of elasticity)
• Dilatation of superficial blood vessels
• Telangiectasia and ecchymoses
• Depression of hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis
• Suppression of adrenal gland
• Growth retardation in children
• Cushingoid state
• Benign intracranial hypertension (rare)

• Discontinue use if sensitization occurs.
• Other specific measures against infections, allergy, and other causal factors must not be neglected.
• Prolonged use may produce systemic corticosteroid effects.
• Patients should inform subsequent physicians of previous use of hydrocortisone.

• Known hypersensitivity to any of the four ingredients
• Pregnancy
• Herpes simplex, vaccinia or varicella infection
• Tuberculous infection of the anal region
