Description
Difamilast is a PDE4 inhibitor that increases cyclic adenosine 3',5'-monophosphate (cAMP) concentration and consequently suppresses the production of inflammatory cytokines, exerting effects in the treatment of atopic dermatitis.

Pharmacology
Difamilast is a phosphodiesterase 4 (PDE4) inhibitor. It increases cyclic adenosine 3',5'-monophosphate (cAMP) concentration and consequently suppresses the production of inflammatory cytokines, exerting effects in the treatment of atopic dermatitis.
Mechanism of action
Difamilast inhibits PDE4 enzyme, increasing cAMP levels, which suppresses inflammatory cytokine production and reduces inflammation in atopic dermatitis.
Dosage
Adult: 1% ointment applied to the affected area twice daily.
Children: 0.3% ointment applied to the affected area twice daily.
Administration
For external use only. Apply a small amount of ointment to the affected area and gently massage.
Missed dose
If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next application, skip the missed dose.
Side effects
Common: Well tolerated at recommended dosage. At higher dosage, mild skin reactions (redness, burning, or stinging) at the application site may occur.
Precautions & warnings
For external use only. Not for oral, ophthalmic, or intravaginal use. If hypersensitivity occurs, treatment should be discontinued.
