Ethinyl Estradiol + Lynestrenol (0.0375 mg)

Ethinyl Estradiol + Lynestrenol (0.0375 mg) is a combined oral contraceptive pill indicated for oral contraception. It is used for the prevention of pregnancy.

This pill prevents ovulation and provides contraceptive action. It thickens cervical mucus to make sperm penetration difficult and causes changes in the endometrium to prevent implantation.

Ethinyl Estradiol + Lynestrenol is a combined oral contraceptive pill indicated for oral contraception. It prevents ovulation and causes changes in cervical mucus and endometrium for contraceptive action.

Ethinyl Estradiol + Lynestrenol prevents ovulation by suppressing pituitary gonadotropin secretion. It also causes changes in cervical mucus and endometrium for contraceptive action.

Adult Dose:

• 1 tablet daily for 22 days, then 6 days tablet-free break.
• Take at the same time every day.

Take 1 tablet at the same time every day. Start from the first day of menstruation from the top row of the pack. Take 22 tablets, then 6 days break. Swallow each pill whole with water if necessary.

If less than 12 hours late: Take as soon as remembered; effectiveness maintained. If more than 12 hours late: Effectiveness may be reduced; take 2 tablets the next day.

• Blood clotting in arteries
• Liver and kidney function disturbances

Precautions:

• Caution in cardiovascular disorders, history of thrombophlebitis and thromboembolism.
• Caution in severe hypertension, severe liver disease, history of cholestatic jaundice.
• Do not use in estrogen-dependent tumors, endometrial hyperplasia, porphyria.
• Women over 35 years who smoke should avoid smoking.

Contraindications:

• Cardiovascular disorders (thrombophlebitis and thromboembolic processes)
• Severe hypertension
• Severe liver disease
• History of cholestatic jaundice
• Estrogen-dependent tumors
• Endometrial hyperplasia
• Undiagnosed vaginal bleeding
• Porphyria
• Pregnancy

Drug Interactions:

• Ampicillin, tetracycline, barbiturates, hydantoins, primidone, carbamazepine, rifampicin: May reduce pill effectiveness.

Food Interactions: May be taken with or without food. Caution with alcohol.

Use in Pregnancy: Do not use during pregnancy.

Use in Lactation: Not recommended during breastfeeding.

Pediatric Use: Not indicated before menarche.

Geriatric Use: For women aged 15-69 years (except smokers and tobacco users).

Renal Impairment: Use with caution in patients with kidney disease.

Hepatic Impairment: Use with caution in patients with liver disease; contraindicated in severe liver disease.

Overdose: Overdose may cause nausea, vomiting, vaginal bleeding. No specific antidote; symptomatic treatment.

Storage: Store at 2-30 degree C in a cool and dry place, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
