Description
Ispaghula Husk [Psyllium] helps to naturally increase the bulk of stool, making it easier to pass. It is used to treat constipation, stomach acid, colon muscle spasms, inflammatory bowel disease, inflammatory bowel syndrome, and swollen veins in the anus region. It increases the amount of water in the intestines and is especially beneficial for pregnancy-related constipation. Indications

Mechanism of action
Ispaghula husk absorbs water in the intestines, increasing stool bulk and promoting bowel movements. This helps relieve constipation and promote regularity. This increased fiber intake also contributes to cholesterol reduction by reducing the absorption of dietary cholesterol.
Dosage
Adult Dose: Adults and children over 12 years: 1 spoonful with water 2 times daily or as per doctor’s advice. Child Dose: Children 6 to 12 years: ½ to 1 spoonful with water depending on age and weight. Renal Dose: It is generally considered safe for use in people with renal disease. Patients with kidney disease, should be consult with doctor before using it.
