Description

Pharmacology
Condoms act as a physical barrier during intercourse to prevent sperm and bodily fluid exchange, which prevents pregnancy and transmission of sexually transmitted diseases. Benzocaine acts as a local anesthetic to reduce penile sensitivity for longer-lasting intercourse.

Dosage
Adult Dose:
- Use 1 new condom for each act of sexual intercourse
- Carefully remove from the packet before use on an erect penis
Administration
- Carefully tear open the packet and take out the condom (do not use fingernails)
- Squeeze the tip of the condom to release air
- Place on the head of the erect penis
- Slowly unroll the entire condom onto the penis
- After ejaculation, while the penis is still erect, hold the base of the condom and carefully withdraw
Missed dose
Not generally applicable.
Side effects
Possible Side Effects:
- Itching, redness, or irritation may occur in individuals with latex allergy
- Allergic reactions may occur in individuals sensitive to Benzocaine
Precautions & warnings
- Place the condom on the erect penis before intimate contact
- Use a new condom for each act of intercourse
- For additional lubrication, use only water-based lubricants (not oil-based)
- Do not unroll the condom before actual use
- Do not use a torn or punctured condom
- Fingernails and rings can tear the condom - handle with care
