Description

Cutaneous Spray is a topical spray powder dressing containing Light Kaolin and Silver Sulfadiazine. Light Kaolin creates a mechanical barrier against external agents, protecting wounded skin, and absorbs exudate. Silver Sulfadiazine, a metal-organic compound obtained from silver nitrate and sulfadiazine, prevents microbial contamination of the dressing and maintains the wound environment free from exogenous bacteria.

Pharmacology

Light Kaolin creates a mechanical barrier and absorbs exudate; Silver Sulfadiazine binds to bacterial cell walls, altering DNA structure and inhibiting bacterial cell division and growth, producing bactericidal effects.

Mechanism of action

Protects wounded skin, absorbs exudate, and prevents bacterial growth to aid wound healing.

Dosage

Adult and Pediatric Dose (Topical):

  • Shake can well before use
  • After cleansing the wound, direct the nozzle at the wound (approximately 10 cm distance)
  • Apply an even layer by spraying for a few seconds
  • Apply 1-2 times daily until complete healing
  • Clean the wound with water or saline before each reapplication
Administration

  • Replace cap after each use
