Light Liquid Paraffin forms an emollient film on the skin surface to reduce transepidermal water loss, helping maintain appropriate skin moisture levels.
Mechanism of action
Softens and hydrates the skin and prevents moisture loss.
Dosage
Adult Dose:
- Add 10-30 mL of XeroBath to an 8 inch bath of water (approximately 40 liters)
- Soak for 10-20 minutes
- Pat dry (do not rub)
Infant Dose:
- Add 5-20 mL of XeroBath to a basin of water
- Apply gently over entire body with a sponge
- Pat dry (do not rub)
Administration
- Always use with water (add to water or apply to wet skin)
- Use as frequently as necessary
