Pharmacology
Junimin is a parenteral nutrition solution that provides nutrients directly into the bloodstream. Glucose provides energy and trace elements help metabolic regulation and maintenance of physiological functions.
Mechanism of action
Meets the body's basal trace element requirements.
Dosage
Dosage:
- Baseline or moderate requirements: 1 ampoule (10 ml)/day
- High requirements: 2 ampoules (20 ml)/day
- Dilute in 50 ml 0.9% NaCl or 5% glucose
Administration
- For intravenous infusion
- Add to parenteral nutrition mixtures
- Use within 48 hours after dilution
Missed dose
Not applicable (parenteral administration)
Side effects
Side Effects:
- Accumulation and overdose of manganese copper and zinc
- Copper overdose: nausea vomiting gastralgia
Precautions & warnings
- Regular monitoring of blood glucose electrolytes kidney and liver function
- Excess trace elements may accumulate
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to components
- Wilson's disease
- Hemochromatosis
