Description
This is a sterile, lyophilized powder for infusion containing Thiamine, Riboflavin, Nicotinamide, Pyridoxine, Pantothenic acid, Ascorbic acid, Biotin, Folic acid and Vitamin B12. It acts as coenzymes of vital enzymes associated with crucial physiological processes, energy metabolism, cell growth and replenishment especially in brain and nerve cells. Vitamin C acts as an antioxidant and helps in collagen formation.

Pharmacology

Vitamin C acts as an antioxidant and helps in collagen formation.
Mechanism of action
Supplies essential water-soluble vitamins to meet nutritional requirements.
Dosage
Adults and Children ≥10 kg:
- 1 vial (10 ml) daily
Children <10 kg:
- 1 ml/kg body weight/day
Preparation:
- Reconstitute with 10 ml WFI, 10% Fat emulsion, 5-60% Glucose or Normal Saline
Administration
- Administered by doctor or nurse IV
- Use immediately after reconstitution
- Protect from light when mixed with water-based solutions
Missed dose
Not generally applicable (scheduled administration); consult doctor if needed.
