Mustakarista is a herbal liquid medicine suitable for patients of all ages. It contains extracts of Cyperus rotundus (Mustak), Zingiber officinale (Ginger), Piper nigrum (Black pepper), Syzygium aromaticum (Clove), Trigonella foenum-graecum (Fenugreek), Plumbago zeylanica (Chita) and Cuminum cyminum (Cumin). Cyperus rotundus acts as stimulant, emmenagogue, diaphoretic and diuretic. Zingiber officinale acts as aromatic, stimulant and carminative. Piper nigrum acts as carminative and enhances vital organ activity.
