Description

Neem has been used in Ayurvedic tradition for thousands of years for maintaining health and well-being. Roots, bark, gum, leaves, fruit, seed and seed oil are all used in therapeutic preparations. All parts have been used for inflammation, infections, fever, skin diseases and dental disorders. Neem seed oil contains triterpenes and tetranortriterpenes. Neem leaves contain quercetin which has antibacterial and antifungal properties.

Neem contains quercetin, alkaloids, triterpenes and limonoids which exhibit antibacterial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory activity. Neem inhibits growth of Propionibacterium acnes and Staphylococcus epidermidis.
