Description
Sodium Fusidate 2% is a topical antibiotic that binds to the 50S ribosomal subunit of bacteria, inhibiting the translocation process and halting protein synthesis. It is primarily active against Gram-positive bacteria, especially Staphylococcus aureus.

Pharmacology
Sodium Fusidate binds to the 50S subunit of the bacterial ribosome, inhibiting the translocation step of protein synthesis. This halts protein synthesis in susceptible bacteria, stopping bacterial growth and spread.
Mechanism of action
Suppresses infection by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis.
Dosage
Adult Dose (Topical):
- Apply a thin layer to affected area 2-3 times daily
- Continue as directed by your doctor
Administration
- Clean and dry the affected area
- Apply a thin layer and massage gently
- For external use only
- Avoid contact with eyes, nose, or mouth
Missed dose
If you miss an application, apply at the next scheduled time.
