Pharmacology
Undenatured Type II Collagen is derived from chicken sternum cartilage using a patented, low-temperature, non-enzymatic process. Glucosamine sulfate helps build cartilage. Boswellia serrata inhibits 5-LOX enzyme and leukotriene B4. Boron (calcium fructoborate) reduces C-reactive protein.
Mechanism of action
Undenatured collagen II epitopes trigger oral tolerization, transforming T-cells into T regulatory cells. T regulatory cells migrate to joint areas and secrete anti-inflammatory mediators (TGF-beta, IL-10). Glucosamine helps build cartilage. Boswellia inhibits 5-LOX. Boron reduces C-reactive protein.
