Calcium Carbonate (Algae Source) + Calcium + Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3) is a film-coated tablet used for the treatment of osteoporosis, rickets, osteomalacia, tetany and hypoparathyroidism.

Indications

Treatment of osteoporosis, rickets, osteomalacia, tetany, hypoparathyroidism, calcium and vitamin D3 deficiency prevention during pregnancy and lactation.

Dosage

Adults: 1 tablet in the morning and 1 tablet at night or as directed by the physician.

Side effects

Common side effects: Irregular heartbeat, nausea, dry mouth, weakness, headache, metallic taste in mouth, muscle or bone pain. Rare side effects: Hypercalcemia, constipation, diarrhea, loss of appetite.

Precautions & warnings

Caution should be taken in patients with renal impairment, sarcoidosis, hypercalcemia and hypercalciuria. Discontinue if hypercalcemia occurs. Patients with history of kidney stones should increase fluid intake.
