Conjugated Oestrogens is a female sex hormone (estrogen) used as part of hormone replacement therapy for estrogen deficiency symptoms (hot flashes, vaginal dryness) and prevention of postmenopausal osteoporosis.

- Atrophic Vaginitis/Kraurosis Vulvae
- Female Hypogonadism
- Osteoporosis Prophylaxis
- Prostate Cancer (Palliation)
- Breast Cancer (Palliation)
- Abnormal Uterine Bleeding
Dosage
Adult Dose (Oral):

Side effects
Common Side Effects:
- Bloating
- Breast pain
- Hair loss
- Headache
- Irregular vaginal bleeding
- Nausea
- Stomach cramp
- Vomiting
- Vaginal discharge changes
Serious Side Effects: Breast cancer, blood clots (DVT, PE), stroke, heart attack, gallbladder disease, dementia.
Precautions & warnings
- You have been prescribed Conjugated Oestrogens as a part of hormone replacement therapy to relieve symptoms of menopause.
- Take it at the same time everyday to help you remember to take it.
- Inform your doctor if you experience any unusual vaginal bleeding or spotting, abnormal vaginal discharge or vaginal discomfort.
- It may increase the risk of breast cancer. Have regular breast examinations.
- Stop taking this medicine and inform your doctor immediately if you notice unexplained swelling and pain in your limbs, shortness of breath, chest pain, or changes in vision (could be symptoms of a blood clot).
- Contraindicated during pregnancy.
