Dosage
Adult and Child Dose (Ophthalmic):
- Cycloplegia: 1-2 drops of 1% solution repeated after 5 minutes; additional drop after 20-30 minutes for prolonged effect
Side effects

- Dryness in mouth
- Increased intraocular pressure
- Tachycardia

Precautions & warnings
- May affect ability to drive
- Bright light may be uncomfortable; wear sunglasses
- Apply pressure to inner corner of eye for 2-3 minutes after instillation to reduce systemic absorption
- Use with care in older patients
