Fluvate Nasal Spray50mcg/spray

• Seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis
• Prevention of recurrence of nasal polyps following surgical removal
• Chronic rhinosinusitis with or without nasal polyps in adults (93 mcg/spray strength)

Adult Dose (50 mcg/spray):

• 2 sprays in each nostril once daily, preferably in the morning.
• May be increased to 2 sprays in each nostril twice daily if needed.
• Maximum 200 mcg (4 sprays)/day.

Children (4-11 years):

• 1 spray in each nostril once daily.
• May be increased to 1 spray in each nostril twice daily if needed.
• Maximum 100 mcg (2 sprays)/day.

Nasal Polyps (Adult):

• 4 sprays (200 mcg) into each nostril 1-2 times daily for at least 4-6 weeks.

Under 4 years: Safety and efficacy not established.

Fluticasone Propionate (93 mcg/spray):

• 1 or 2 sprays per nostril twice daily.
• Maximum: 2 sprays in each nostril twice daily (total 744 mcg).

Common Side Effects:

• Nasal irritation
• Nosebleeds
• Headache
• Drying of nose and throat
• Unpleasant taste and smell

Precautions:

• Avoid deep breathing while using the spray (medication may go to throat).
• Do not share the bottle with anyone else.
• Avoid in patients with recent nasal ulcers, nasal surgery, or nasal trauma.
• Potential risk increases with larger doses - avoid exceeding recommended doses.
