Levocetrizine Dihydrochloride 0.1% is an antihistamine used for the treatment of allergic conditions. It relieves symptoms such as itching, swelling, and rashes in hay fever, conjunctivitis, eczema, hives, and reactions to bites and stings.

Indications

Seasonal allergic rhinitis
Perennial allergic rhinitis
Chronic idiopathic urticaria

Dosage

Adult and Children 12 years+: 5 mg once daily

Children 6-11 years: 2.5 mg (½ tablet or 1 teaspoon oral solution) once daily

Children 6 months-5 years: 1.25 mg (½ teaspoon oral solution) once daily

Renal Impairment (12 years+): CrCl 50-80: 2.5 mg daily; 30-50: 2.5 mg every other day; 10-30: 2.5 mg every 3-4 days; <10: contraindicated

Precautions & warnings

Caution when driving or doing activities requiring concentration (may cause drowsiness or dizziness)
Avoid alcohol (may cause excessive drowsiness)
