Levamisole is an antiparasitic medication. It is used in the treatment of worm infections. It works by killing the worms and this treats your infection. Levamisole should be used in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. It should be taken with food, preferably at a fixed time. Adult Dose: Oral Ascariasis Adult: 150 mg as a single dose. Mixed ascariasis-hookworm infections; Ancylostomiasis Adult: 2.5 mg/kg as a single dose, repeated after 7 days in severe cases. Child Dose: Oral Ascariasis Child: 3 mg/kg as a single dose. Mixed ascariasis-hookworm infections; Ancylostomiasis Child: 2.5 mg/kg as a single dose, repeated after 7 days in severe cases.
