Diphenhydramine + L-Menthol is a combination syrup used for the treatment of cough, sneezing, nasal congestion, and allergic symptoms.
Indications
- Cough associated with common cold, allergy, bronchitis
- Sneezing, nasal congestion
- Throat and bronchial irritation
- Allergic symptoms (itchy eyes, nose, throat)
Dosage
Adult: 1-2 teaspoonful every 4 or 6 hours.
Child (>1 year): ½-1 teaspoonful every 4 or 6 hours.
Side effects
Common: Drowsiness, dizziness, gastrointestinal disturbance, dry mouth/nose/throat, difficulty in urination, blurred vision, palpitations, tremor, convulsions, paresthesia, hypersensitivity reactions (skin rashes, erythema, urticaria, angioedema).
Precautions & warnings
May cause drowsiness; may impair ability to drive or operate machinery. Caution in narrow-angle glaucoma or symptomatic prostatic hypertrophy.
