Rhubarb 5% + Salicylic Acid 1% oral solution is used for gingivitis, pain or irritation of the mouth and throat, aphthous ulcers, gum sores, and periodontitis. Anthraquinone glycosides reduce inflammation and salicylic acid acts as an analgesic.

Dosage
Adult Dose (Topical):
- Apply to affected oral mucosal area 3-4 times daily using a brush applicator
- Avoid rinsing the mouth or eating for 15 minutes after application
Pediatric Dose (>12 years):
- Same as adult
- Under 12 years: Consultation with a registered physician recommended
Side effects
Side Effects:
- Transient local burning sensation at the application site (very common)
- Temporary discoloration of teeth or oral mucosa (common)
