Amino Acid Ketoanalogues supplement indicated for the prevention and treatment of protein metabolism disorders in chronic kidney disease with a low protein diet.
Indications
Indicated for prevention & treatment of damages due to faulty or deficient protein metabolism in chronic kidney disease with a limited dietary protein intake (40 g/day or less).
Pharmacology
Reuses amino groups to form essential amino acids, decreasing urea formation and reducing uremic toxin accumulation.
Dosage
Adults: 4-8 tablets 3 times a day during meals. Swallow whole without chewing. Used when GFR is less than 25 mL/min.
Side effects
Hypercalcemia (Very Rare).
Use in pregnancy
Caution should be exercised when prescribing to pregnant women.
Pregnancy Category: B / Caution — always consult a doctor before taking during pregnancy.
Precautions & warnings
Monitor serum calcium and phosphate levels regularly, ensure sufficient calorie intake, caution in phenylketonuria.

Supportive care as needed.
