Malic Acid + Benzoic Acid + Salicylic Acid is a topical ointment used for the treatment of superficial skin injuries such as burns, scalds, sunburn, wounds, and abrasions. It acts as a disinfectant, relieves pain, and accelerates wound healing.
Indications
- Burns, scalds, sunburn
- Wounds and abrasions
- Superficial skin injuries
- Exfoliator
- Reduces hyperpigmentation
- Regenerates damaged tissue
Dosage
Adult Dose (Topical):
- Apply to the wound or damaged skin several times daily
- Duration of use depends on how quickly your wound is healing
Side effects
Common Side Effects:
- Transient sensation of warmth upon application (followed by rapid pain relief)
- Mild erythema and urticarial rash on healthy tissue (rare)
- Hypersensitivity reaction to salicylic acid (very rare)
Precautions & warnings
- Consult doctor if you have extensive wounds and burns
- Consult doctor if you have ulcers, bedsores, or are preparing for skin transplant
- Do not use over a large area or for long periods if you have impaired kidney function
- Not recommended for use in newborn babies
- Consult doctor if no improvement after 10 days
