Doxylamine + Pyridoxine is a combination medicine used to treat nausea and vomiting during pregnancy. Doxylamine is an antihistamine that blocks histamine (H1) receptors and decreases stimulation of the vomiting center. Pyridoxine (vitamin B6) possesses anti-nausea properties.
Indications
- Nausea and vomiting of pregnancy
Dosage
Adult Dose (Nausea & Vomiting of Pregnancy):
- Delayed-release Tablet: 2 tablets at bedtime on Day 1. If symptoms not controlled, increase to 4 tablets daily (1 in AM, 1 mid-afternoon, 2 at bedtime).
- Conventional Tablet: 1 tablet at bedtime on Day 1. If adequately controlled, continue 1 tablet daily at bedtime. If symptoms persist, increase to 1 tablet in morning and 1 at bedtime. Maximum: 2 tablets daily.

Precautions & warnings
- Doxylamine + Pyridoxine helps treat nausea and vomiting in pregnant women.
- Take on an empty stomach with a glass of water.
- May cause dizziness; do not drive or do anything requiring concentration.
- Do not take with other sedating medications (cough and cold medicines) as it may worsen dizziness and lead to falls.
- Contraindicated with MAO inhibitors (intensify anticholinergic and CNS effects).
- Use with caution in asthma, increased intraocular pressure, narrow angle glaucoma, peptic ulcer, pyloroduodenal or bladder obstruction.
