Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used for pain and inflammation in musculoskeletal disorders and post-operative pain.
Indications
Indicated for pain and inflammation in musculoskeletal and joint disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, low back pain, and post-operative pain.
Dosage
Recommended starting dose is 120 mg/day in divided doses, increasing up to 180 mg/day in divided doses depending on clinical response.
Side effects
Common: Anorexia, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, peptic ulceration, headache, dizziness, vertigo. Rare: Confusion, depression, edema, chest pain, elevated blood urea.
Precautions & warnings
Use with caution in elderly patients, those with a history of GI disorders, IBD, kidney disease, liver disease, or heart failure.
