Indications
- Thrombocytopenia in persistent or chronic immune thrombocytopenia
- Thrombocytopenia in hepatitis C infection
- Severe aplastic anemia
Dosage
Adult Dose:
- Chronic ITP: 50 mg once daily, adjust to maintain platelet count ≥50×109/L. Max: 75 mg/day.
- Chronic hepatitis C: 50 mg once daily, max 100 mg/day.
- Severe aplastic anemia: 50 mg once daily, adjust to maintain platelet count ≥50×109/L. Max: 150 mg/day.
Child Dose (6 years+): 50 mg once daily. (1-5 years: 25 mg once daily).

Precautions & warnings
- Eltrombopag Olamine can cause dizziness and make you less alert, affecting driving ability.
- Take on empty stomach (1 hour before or 2 hours after meals).
- Take at least 2 hours before or 4 hours after dairy products and calcium-fortified juices.
- Monitor platelet counts regularly.
- Monitor liver function.
