Indications
- Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder
- Depressive illness
- Panic Disorder
- Eating Disorder
- Chronic Tension Headache
Dosage
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (Adult):
- Initially: 50 mg in the evening for 3-4 days.
- If necessary, increase to 300 mg daily (over 150 mg in divided doses).
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (Child, 8+ years):
- Initially: 25 mg daily.
- If necessary, increase by 25 mg every 3-4 days to max 200 mg daily in divided doses.
Depression (Adult):
- Initially: 50-100 mg daily in the evening.
- If necessary, increase to 300 mg daily (over 150 mg in divided doses).
- Usual maintenance dose: 100 mg daily.
Children (Depression): Not recommended.

Common Side Effects:
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Dryness in mouth
- Drowsiness
- Insomnia
- Headache
- Increased sweating
- Tremor
- Sexual dysfunction
Precautions & warnings
Precautions:
- Use with caution in patients with a history of mania, seizures, suicidal tendency, cardiac disease, diabetes mellitus, angle-closure glaucoma, history of bleeding disorders.
- May impair performance of skilled tasks (driving).
- Talk to your doctor if you notice sudden mood changes or develop suicidal thoughts.
- Do not stop taking the medication suddenly without talking to your doctor.
