Allantoin

Allantoin gel is an anti-scar formulation containing Allantoin and Allium Cepa extract that stimulates cell proliferation, accelerates epithelization, and prevents non-physiological scar formation.

Indicated for hypertrophic and keloid scars, surgical scars, burn scars, trauma scars, and traumatic tendon contractures.

Cell Proliferant & Anti-scar Agent

Allantoin stimulates cell growth and epithelization while providing skin elasticity. Allium cepa extract exerts anti-inflammatory, anti-allergenic, and bactericidal properties that inhibit keloidal fibroblast proliferation.

Promotes healthy cell regeneration and inhibits excessive fibroblast proliferation to prevent abnormal scar tissue formation.

Apply once daily for at least 8 weeks on new scars and for 3-6 months on existing scars until fully absorbed.

Topical use only. Apply after wound closure and removal of stitches. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.

Apply as soon as remembered.

Generally well tolerated. Rare local irritation such as slight erythema or itching may occur.

For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes, nose, mouth, and other mucous membranes.

Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.

No known interactions with other medications.

Not applicable for topical formulation.

No adequate studies conducted; use with caution during pregnancy.

Use with caution during lactation.

Safe and tolerable in children from 6 months of age.

Safe for use in elderly patients.

No dose adjustments required for renal or hepatic impairment.

Unlikely via topical route. Seek medical attention if accidentally ingested.

Do not store above 30°C. Keep away from light and out of reach of children.
