At a glance

Calcium Chloride + Potassium Chloride + Sodium Chloride Injection is a combination of three mineral salts used for short-term fluid replacement after trauma. It helps replenish the body's fluid and electrolytes.

Description

Calcium Chloride + Potassium Chloride + Sodium Chloride Injection is a combination of three mineral salts used for short-term fluid and electrolyte replacement after trauma, surgery, or other conditions. Calcium Chloride, Potassium Chloride, and Sodium Chloride work together to replenish the body's fluid and electrolytes, preventing dehydration.

Calcium Chloride prevents and treats negative calcium balance and facilitates nerve and muscle function. Potassium Chloride is a major cation of intracellular fluid, playing a role in nerve impulse conduction in the heart, brain, and skeletal muscle. Sodium Chloride is the major extracellular cation important for electrolyte and fluid balance and osmotic pressure control.

Indications
  • Short-term fluid replacement after trauma
Therapeutic class

Intravenous Fluid Therapy

Pharmacological class

Electrolyte & Fluid Replenisher

Pharmacology

Calcium Chloride prevents or treats negative calcium balance and regulates action potential excitation threshold to facilitate nerve and muscle performance. Potassium Chloride is a major cation of intracellular fluid, playing an active role in nerve impulse conduction and muscle contraction. Sodium Chloride is the major extracellular cation important for electrolyte and fluid balance and osmotic pressure control.

Mechanism of action

Calcium, potassium, and sodium chloride together provide essential electrolytes and fluid to the body, preventing dehydration and maintaining nerve and muscle function.
