When used as disinfectants, both are typically at a concentration of 70 percent in water. This combination hand rub is used primarily as a topical antiseptic.

Mechanism of action
Ethanol and isopropyl alcohol exert their disinfectant action by denaturing bacterial cell walls and proteins.
Dosage
Adult Dose (Topical):
- Apply 1-2 pumps of clean gel on the palm.
- Rub both palms together thoroughly.
- Apply between fingers and under nails.
- Rub until dry.
Administration
Apply 1-2 pumps on dry palms. Rub both hands together. Apply between fingers and under nails and rub until dry. Within seconds hands will be dry and germ-free.
