Glucosamine is a naturally occurring compound necessary for the body's production of joint lubricants and shock absorbers. Glucosamine hydrochloride is a prodrug for glucosamine that is well absorbed after oral administration and diffuses into several tissues, including bones and articular cartilages. Data supports Glucosamine as the first anti-osteoarthritic drug that treats both signs and symptoms of osteoarthritis and modifies disease progression.

Dosage
Adult Dose:
- 500 mg tablet: 3-4 times daily
- Maximum Dosage: 1500 mg/day
- A single dose of 1500 mg daily may also be effective
Obese individuals: May need higher doses based on body weight

Administration
Oral tablet. Take with food. Swallow whole, do not chew or crush.
Missed dose
If you miss a dose, skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.
