Description
Menaquinone-7 is the active trans-isomer of natural Vitamin K2 with the highest bioavailability and longest half-life in blood. Pharmacology
Red Algae Calcium is plant-based calcium derived from marine algae that is easily absorbed. Menaquinone-7 helps transport excess calcium from arteries to bones. Vitamin D3 enhances calcium absorption and maintains calcium balance.

Dosage
Chewable Tablet (Menacal-D):
- Children: 1 chewable tablet daily
- Adolescent: 1-2 chewable tablets daily
- Adult: 2 chewable tablets daily
Tablet (K2Cal):
- 1 tablet 1-2 times daily after a meal
Administration
- Chew the chewable tablets thoroughly; do not swallow whole
- Take at the same time each day
- May be taken with or without food
Missed dose
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember; skip if it's almost time for next dose.
Side effects
Common Side Effects:
- Generally well tolerated at recommended dose
- Occasionally constipation or stomach upset may occur

- Consult doctor if you have kidney disease (kidney stones or undergoing dialysis)

- Renal calculi
Drug interactions
- Menaquinone-7 may alter the effect of warfarin (contraindicated with warfarin)
- Concomitant use with orlistat may decrease absorption of Menaquinone-7
- Oral Calcium reduces absorption of Tetracycline and Fluoride preparations (allow 3 hours interval)
- Thiazide diuretics reduce renal excretion of calcium
- Phenytoin, Barbiturates, Glucocorticoids induce Vitamin D3 metabolism
Food interactions
- Foods like spinach, cereals, milk, and derivatives may reduce intestinal uptake of calcium
- Limit alcohol intake (may affect calcium absorption)
Use in pregnancy
Use in Pregnancy: Can be given to pregnant mothers as advised by the physician.
Use in lactation
Use in Lactation: Can be given to lactating mothers as advised by the physician.
Pediatric use
Doses established for children and adolescents (age and weight-based).

Renal / hepatic impairment
