Description

This topical cream contains Methyl Salicylate 30%, Menthol 10%, and Camphor 4% for effective relief of back pain, shoulder pain, neck pain, joint pain, arthritis, strains, sprains, and sports injuries. Methyl Salicylate is converted to salicylic acid which inhibits cyclooxygenase enzyme reducing prostaglandin synthesis. Menthol stimulates cold receptors providing cooling and soothing effect. Camphor exerts spasmolytic action on smooth muscle reducing muscle spasms and pain.

Pharmacology

Methyl Salicylate is converted to salicylic acid which inhibits COX enzyme reducing prostaglandin synthesis. Menthol stimulates cold receptors providing cooling and soothing effect. Camphor reduces Ca2+ influx in smooth muscles decreasing muscle spasm and increases pain threshold.

Mechanism of action

Reduces pain by decreasing muscle contraction and inflammation.

Dosage

Cream:

  • Adults and children 2 years and older: Apply generously to affected area and gently massage
  • Use not more than 3-4 times daily
  • Children below 2 years: Insufficient data

Nasal Inhaler Stick:

  • Adults and children over 12 years: Use as needed in each nostril
Administration
  • Apply cream to affected area and massage gently
  • Do not use more than 3-4 times daily
  • Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes
  • Do not apply to wounds or damaged skin
  • Do not use immediately after bath
  • Wash hands thoroughly after application
