Pharmacology
Zinc oxide has astringent soothing and protective properties. It reflects ultraviolet radiation and can be used as a physical sunscreen. It forms a protective barrier on the skin.
Mechanism of action
Reflects UV rays to protect the skin.
Dosage
Apply at least 30 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply every 2 hours and after swimming or exercise.
Administration
Massage onto skin until absorbed.
